The Offutt School of Business Difference
Through engaging classes with dedicated faculty, you will learn supply chain management concepts to prepare you for your postgraduation goals. In addition to SCM requirements, you'll take business foundation courses to become a well-rounded participant in the global workforce. In the dynamic world of business, we aim to prepare our business students for their strategic career goals.
Great Interdisciplinary Opportunities
Concordia encourages students to pursue interdisciplinary courses of study. The SCM minor is a great addition to almost any major on campus. The SCM major pairs well with management, marketing, math, and data analytics, in addition to other areas of study across Concordia’s three schools.
Recent surveys show that the majority of senior-level executives report that COVID-19 accelerated preexisting issues in the supply chain, prioritizing visibility, resilience, and digitization. A liberal arts education will prepare students to meet these challenges from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Meet a Growing Need
In the past few years, business leaders have recognized the importance and need for supply chain management graduates with job-ready skills in supply chain operations and logistics. Currently, there are almost one million supply chain managers in the United States, and the field is expected to grow by 8% between 2016 and 2026. Learn an emerging field and jump-start a successful career.
Graduate Success
Supply chain management graduates will learn analytical skills to gain an understanding of logistics, inventory procurement and sourcing, supply chain planning, risk management, communication skills, and technology proficiency.
SCM graduates work as supply chain coordinators/analysts, logistics coordinators, procurement assistants, demand planners, operations assistants/coordinators, distribution coordinators, and more.
