With Concordia’s Accelerated Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics program, students will earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in food, nutrition, and dietetics AND a Master of Science in Nutrition degree in just five years. Concordia students will also be able to complete all three requirements for the registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) examination eligibility in five academic years instead of six.
Simply apply for admission to ×ö°®ÊÓƵ. During your first year, declare a food/nutrition/dietetics major. In the fall of your junior year, apply to the accelerated program.
Note: Due to the rigor of the accelerated program (as it combines both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree), it’s not possible to pair with a second major. Adding a minor is also not advised.
Students interested in becoming an RDN are required to complete a bachelor’s degree, earn a graduate degree, and complete a minimum of 1,000 hours of supervised practice (often referred to as a dietetic internship) to be eligible to sit for the national RDN credentialing examination. ×ö°®ÊÓƵ houses both an accredited undergraduate program, which for students is the food/nutrition/dietetics (FND) major, and an accredited combined Dietetic Internship and Master of Science in Nutrition degree (DI/MS).
In the accelerated program, students will take undergraduate courses in their first three years and both undergraduate and graduate courses during their fourth year. In year five, students will only take graduate courses. Students benefit from the personalized attention of Concordia’s faculty and staff.
